OM5 multimode fiber jumper, data center room switching special fiber introduction
OM5 Multimode Fiber Patch Cable Product Overview:
OM5 fiber patch cords are a new generation of multimode fiber optic connectivity components using OM5 (50/125 μm) broadband multimode fiber (WBMMF), designed for short-range, ultra-high-speed fiber optic communication systems. OM5 fiber patch cords support longer transmission distances and higher bandwidth, making them particularly suitable for data centers, enterprise networks, and high-performance computing environments.
OM5 multimode fiber patch cord product structure:
Fiber Type: OM5 broadband multimode fiber (50/125 μm).
Connector type: Optional LC, SC, ST, FC, MTP/MPO, etc., support simplex or duplex configuration.
Sheath material: Low smoke and halogen-free (LSZH) or PVC, with flame retardant and environmentally friendly properties.
Outer diameter: Usually 2.0mm or 3.0mm, it can be customized according to requirements.
Length: Standard lengths are 1m, 2m, 3m, 5m, 10m, etc. Customized lengths are supported.
OM5 Multimode Fiber Patch Cord Product Features
Ultra-high bandwidth performance:OM5 fiber optic jumpers support higher bandwidth (typically 4700MHz · km) at a wavelength of 850nm, making them suitable for short-distance ultra-high-speed data transmission.
Support for short wavelength division multiplexing (SWDM):Support for short-wavelength division multiplexing technology allows the transmission of multiple wavelengths (e.g. 850nm and 940nm) on a single fiber, significantly enhancing transmission capacity.
Short-distance ultra-high-speed transmission:Supports 40Gbps (40GBASE-SR4), 100Gbps (100GBASE-SR4), and 400Gbps (400GBASE-SR8) Ethernet applications, with better transmission distance than OM3 and OM4 fibers.
Low insertion loss:Low insertion loss (typically less than or equal to 0.3 dB) ensures high signal transmission efficiency.
Easy to install and maintain:The structure design is simple, easy to plug and unplug, supports rapid deployment and maintenance, and reduces operation and maintenance costs.
Wide compatibility:Compatible with a wide range of network devices, such as switches, routers, servers, and storage devices, for use in data centers, enterprise networks, and high-performance computing environments.
Durability:The sheath material has excellent wear resistance and tensile resistance, prolonging the service life. The low-smoke halogen-free sheath meets the requirements of environmental protection and flame retardancy, and is suitable for scenes with high safety standards.
Multiple connector options:We provide LC, SC, ST, FC, MTP/MPO and other connector types to meet different application requirements.
OM5 multimode fiber jumper application scenario
