These ST/UPC connectors feature a bayonet “stab and twist” coupling mechanism within a plastic housing—lightweight yet practical. The keyed ferrule ensures fast, secure mating without additional tools, ideal for quick installation in patch panels or distribution frames. 

Low Insertion Loss and High Return Loss Performance

Typical optical specs include insertion loss of ≤ 0.15 dB for single-mode and ≤ 0.25 dB for multimode fibers, with return loss (UPC polish) exceeding 55 dB—ensuring clean signal transmission and minimal reflection. 

Reliable Durability Across Conditions

These connectors maintain performance with less than 0.2 dB variation over 500 mating cycles, and stable insertion loss across temperatures from −40 °C to +85 °C—offering reliability in diverse environments.
